We offer dog desexing for all dogs starting as early as eight weeks for males and twelve weeks for females. Our desexing price includes a thorough health check, pain relief given at the time of the surgery and an appropriately sized Elizabethan collar. Vaccinations and microchipping are also available during your dog’s desexing appointment at an affordable rate.
WHY DESEX YOUR DOG?
If your dog is not required for breeding or showing, desexing will help its health and behaviour. If you have questions or concerns about how to best care for a giant or slow developing breed, talk with our friendly staff about the pros and cons of early age desexing. We want to help you find the best fit for your pet.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please bathe your dog prior to the appointment if at all possible. Dogs 16 weeks and older must fast from food starting at midnight the night before the surgery. When in the clinic, dogs must be secured with a lead and collar or harness or be in a safe carrier.
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
Your pet will come home wearing an Elizabethan collar. You will receive detailed instruction on how to care for your dog during recovery. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to give us a call.
